1, welding rod

(2) Stainless steel electrodes shall be kept dry during use. In order to prevent cracks, pits, pores and other defects, titanium calcium type drug skin is dried at 150-250 ℃ for 1h before welding, and low hydrogen type drug skin is dried at 200-300 ℃ for 1h before welding. Do not repeat drying many times, otherwise the medicine skin is easy to fall off.
(3) The weld joint shall be cleaned, and at the same time, the welding rod shall be prevented from being stained with oil and other dirt, so as not to increase the carbon content of the weld and affect the welding quality.
(4) In order to prevent intergranular corrosion caused by heating, the welding current should not be too large, generally about 20% lower than that of carbon steel electrode, the arc should not be too long, the interlayer is rapidly cooled, and narrow-pass welding is appropriate.
(5) When striking the arc, pay attention to not striking the arc at the non-welding part, and choose the arc striking plate of the same material as the weldment to strike the arc.
(6) should try to use short arc welding, the arc length is generally 2-3mm, the arc is too long to produce thermal cracks.
(7) transportation strip: short arc rapid welding should be adopted, and lateral swing is generally not allowed. Its purpose is to reduce heat and the width of heat affected zone, improve the intergranular corrosion resistance of weld seam and reduce the tendency of hot crack.
(8) welding of dissimilar steel should be carefully selected welding rod, to prevent improper selection of welding rod thermal crack or high temperature heat treatment caused by sigma phase precipitation, so that the metal embrittlement. Refer to stainless steel and dissimilar steel electrode selection criteria for selection, and take the appropriate welding process.
2, welding wire
(1) welding wire should be stored in a special welding material warehouse, pay attention to ventilation and drying, the relative humidity of the air should be controlled below 60%, and keep a distance of 30cm from the ground and the wall when stacking.
(2) distinguish models and specifications for storage, can not be mixed.
(3) Avoid littering during handling to prevent packaging damage. Once the packaging is damaged, it may cause moisture absorption and rust of the welding wire.
(4) For barreled welding wire, do not roll during handling, and the container cannot be laid down or tilted to avoid winding of the welding wire in the barrel and hindering use.
(5) Wire stacking shall not be too high.
(6) Under normal circumstances, the flux-cored wire does not need to be dried, and it should be used up as soon as possible after opening. When the welding wire is not used up and needs to be placed in the wire feeder overnight, the wire feeder (or welding wire tray) shall be covered with canvas, plastic cloth or other articles. to reduce contact with moisture in the air.
(7) CO2 for flux-cored wire shall be pure anhydrous gas.
3. Flux for submerged arc welding
(1) Flux is generally bagged and should be properly transported to prevent package damage;
(2) Flux should be stored in a dry room to prevent moisture from affecting welding quality. Its room temperature is 5-50 ℃ and cannot be placed in a high temperature and high humidity environment.
(3) Before use, the flux shall be baked according to the parameters specified in the instructions. When baking, the flux is spread in the pan to a thickness of not more than 50mm.

Maintenance of welding materials

1. The welding material warehouse shall be kept at a suitable temperature and humidity, with a temperature of ≧ 5 ℃ and a relative humidity of ≦ 60%. Application of Welding Materials

Electrodes can be divided into two categories: acid electrode and alkaline electrode. The acid electrode commonly used in production is titanium calcium electrode, and the alkaline electrode is low hydrogen electrode mainly composed of carbonate and fluorite. Acid electrode arc is more stable, strong adaptability, AC and DC welding machine can be applied, but the mechanical properties of the weld is general, crack resistance is poor. Alkaline electrode arc ignition is more difficult, arc is not stable, poor adaptability, only suitable for DC arc welding machine, but the mechanical properties and crack resistance of the weld is better, suitable for medium carbon steel, high carbon steel welding.
