3. alloy steel
alloy steel is also prone to cold cracks when welding, but the advantage is that it can be directly welded at room temperature and has a large hardness. For some applications with strict hardness requirements, alloy steel welding is a good choice. For the welding of alloy steel, laser welding method is mostly used. Some car transmissions, and even parts of aircraft engines, are welded to alloy steel.

Application of Welding Materials
Electrodes can be divided into two categories: acid electrode and alkaline electrode. Acid electrode arc is more stable, strong adaptability, AC and DC welding machine can be applied, but the mechanical properties of the weld is general, crack resistance is poor. Alkaline electrode arc ignition is more difficult, arc is not stable, poor adaptability, only suitable for DC arc welding machine, but the mechanical properties and crack resistance of the weld is better, suitable for medium carbon steel, high carbon steel welding.
